Applications for Grants.

So far we have applied for three community grants through the Wodonga Council, St Johns Ambulance and Albury 2AY Charity Grants with mixed results. Our only success has been the Wodonga Council Community Grants where we were successful in being awarded $400 to promote our club through Open days at the Clubrooms on Wednesday 19th June and The Cottage on Saturday 22nd June. Each open day will hopefully have demonstrations from each of our groups, so if you can help, please contact Ray Tobin. Insurance has been arranged to cover non- members for Scroll Sawing and Pyrography, forms are available next to the membership folder and must be filled in prior to a person attempting these two activities.

Colour Brochures for the Cottage.

New brochures have been acquired for the cottage – both information brochures and business cards. The cottage has had an upturn in business the last two months. Thanks to Allan Bowers and is volunteers. Council will be conducting safety inspections in the near future.

New Equipment from the Wish Lists

The “future committee examined the wish lists from the various groups and have approved over $6000 worth of purchases. Most of the items on the lists have been approved and shall be purchased when funds become available. At present we are having a few issues re delivery with a couple of our suppliers.

New sponsor /Advertiser

Carrols from CWS have agreed to support the club through advertising in the newsletter. We thank Jim and Irene for their generous support.

Venues Past and Future

Leneva Steam Rally over Easter once again proved to be a huge success. We must thank the volunteers who did a magnificent job manning the stall over the two days. The committee is looking at the possibility of having a stall at Eldorado’s Off Grid Alternate Living Gathering next year – more exposure and possibilities.
